Discipleship Seminar – Christian Belief and Modern Culture

The world in which we live can seem very confusing for Christians. Increasingly, what our neighbours and friends see as reasonable or even essential feels at odds with what we read in the bible. The comforting news is that this has been the case throughout history. Yet God’s people have always found ways to speak authentically to their society in a way which acknowledges its positives whilst faithfully pointing to the eternal relevance of God’s message of grace and truth.

To help us think this through, and in the context of the Baptist Union’s consultation on a rule change relating to the ability to appoint ministers in same-sex relationships, we are offering church members the opportunity to attend two interactive bible-study seminars on “the church and modern culture”, led by Kevin Appleton, in church on 10th and 17th September between 16:00 and 18:00.

Do speak to Kevin if you have any questions in advance.
