Sexuality and Faith with Adam Curtis

Come and hear Adam Curtis at Long Buckby & Brington Baptist Church at 7:30pm on 10th April as we continue to explore the intersection of same-sex sexual attraction and faith.

Adam is a young Anglican minister who has experienced same-sex attraction for as long as he can remember.

We will explore with Adam how it felt to him to be a gay person encountering Christians and what a welcoming and loving Christian response to a gay person seeking God might look like. We will also ask him what advice he might have for us, as a church fellowship, when we encounter people in similar situations.

Come and hear Adam as he tells us about his life and journey to faith. Hear how he has wrestled with what the bible and society say about our sexual behaviour, and his conclusions supporting a scriptural definition of marriage as between a man and a woman.

This will be done in an informal interview format (Kevin will interview), lasting around an hour, with an opportunity for questions from the floor for twenty minutes following that. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available upon arrival. Please be prompt if you are planning to attend.
