Leadership

We believe God gives everyone abilities and we see it as part of our work to encourage and develop those abilities. We do this to allow everyone to live their life to the full and as part of that, take the fullest part in worshipping God together.

We have an elected leadership team who work together to seek God’s will for the Church. Each member of the team coordinates a particular area of God’s work here.

   

Matt Levett

 - is our minister. More info

Peter Walls

  - is our secretary. He lives in nearby Welton with his wife Alison and has two grown up children and two grandchildren. He has been involved in different churches in England and Wales for as long as he can remember! He used to be an HR director and now does some non-executive work at a national Baptist level as well as for a multi-academy education trust and a museum.


 

Ivan Martin

 - is our treasurer (a.k.a the money man). Ivan is married to Anne and has 4 grown up children.

Kevin Appleton

- is married to Claire. He is an occasional preacher and is also the deacon responsible for ministerial mobilisation and youth. Kevin works as a non-executive director these days, following a lengthy career in industry, which has taken him and his family to different parts of the world. His leisure interests include hanging out with his children and grandchildren, Rugby (especially Northampton Saints), taking detailed instructions in the garden and reluctantly keeping fit!
 

Tim Clarke

- is married to Pauline and they have been worshipping at Long Buckby Baptist Church for over 30 years. He works in the pig industry for a local company. Tim is responsible for our facilities.
 

Claire Morrell

 - is married to Ron. Currently Claire is one of the busiest lately 'retired' people in Northamptonshire and her interests include gardening and running a voluntary local shop for her community.  Claire is responsible for evangelism, events and seniors.

Peter Moyes

 - manages a farming business in Thornby. He and his wife, Linda, have four grown up children. Peter is the deacon responsible for service delivery and for welcoming people to our services.

Colin Smartt

 - is married to Narina. He was born in London but his parents originated from Guyana (South America), the only English speaking country in the continent. His interests include cricket, football, gardening & music. Colin is passionate about praise & worship & the advancement of the Kingdom of God. He is the deacon responsible for pastoral support, food bank referrals and homegroups.

 

Hilary Lonsdale 

- is married to Chris and has 2 grown up daughters. Her interests include crafting, gardening and ornithology. Hilary is passionate about helping people find their place within our church. She is responsible for prayer.

Nabil Abou - Rahme

- is married to Ioana and has 3 children. As well as involvement in preaching and teaching, he is responsible for technology and communications.

  

Tabi Martin

- is married to Jacob and has 2 young children. Tabi works in data insights for a Christian charity. She is responsible for our children's ministry.
